Yo La Tengo

Listening to the collection of Yo La 'hits' I can't help but wonder why they are so awful in concert. These songs are quiet, cool, and tuneful. So why must a Yo La Tengo concert be an exercise in ultrasonic weaponry?


Maybe I just caught them on two bad nights in different cities on different tours...or maybe they are just trying to be funny.
